Hveragerdhi
Village, southwestern Iceland. It lies midway between the lake of Thingvallavatn to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. The centre of Iceland's hothouse industry, Hveragerdhi is noted for its fruit (especially tomatoes and even bananas), vegetables, and flowers, all of which are grown under glass. The hothouses are heated by steam from the numerous hot springs
